Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Battle Cities collects, why we use it, how it is protected, and the choices available to players.
Effective July 12, 2026
1. Information we collect
Account information. Depending on how you sign in, we may collect a display name, internal player identifier, guest session identifier, wallet address, or Google account identifier, email address, name, and profile image.
Gameplay and replay information. We collect match inputs, replay events, seed and level information, scores, kills, results, duration or tick count, validation status, inventory, loadouts, progression, and leaderboard information.
Wallet and economy information. We may process public wallet addresses, signed authentication challenges, public blockchain transaction details, token or SOL purchase information, fuel and item balances, and in-game economy activity. We do not ask for or store your wallet private keys or recovery phrase.
Technical information. Our service and hosting providers may process IP address, browser and device information, request timestamps, error logs, cookies, and similar security or diagnostic data.
Local settings. Your browser may store game preferences, controls, cached shop or economy state, and other settings needed to operate the game. These are separate from server-stored account and replay records.
2. How we use information
- Provide sign-in, gameplay, inventories, purchases, and account continuity.
- Record and reproduce matches and validate submitted results.
- Detect cheating, fraud, abuse, security incidents, and technical failures.
- Operate verified leaderboards, rankings, rewards, and game events.
- Maintain, analyze, debug, and improve the service.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.
3. Cookies and sessions
We use essential session cookies to keep you signed in and associate guest activity with a session. These cookies are necessary for account, replay, and security features. Browser storage may also remember game preferences and cached state. You can clear cookies and local storage in your browser, but doing so may sign you out or reset local settings.
4. When information is shared
We use service providers to operate Battle Cities, including Vercel hosting, database and blob storage, Google sign-in, Phantom wallet connectivity, and Solana network or RPC services. They process data under their own terms and privacy practices where applicable.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect the service or its users, during a business transfer, or with your consent. We do not sell your personal information for money.
5. Public information
Display names, scores, ranks, match results, and associated public wallet addresses may appear in leaderboards, match history, or other public game features. Activity written to the Solana blockchain is public and cannot be deleted or changed by Battle Cities.
6. Retention
We retain account, economy, replay, and anti-cheat records for as long as reasonably needed to operate the game, verify results, resolve disputes, maintain security, and meet legal obligations. Retention may vary by record type. Public blockchain data remains subject to the blockchain's permanent nature.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information, including session controls, signed wallet challenges, access restrictions, and managed infrastructure. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Never share your wallet seed phrase or private key with Battle Cities or anyone claiming to represent it.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection regarding personal information. You may disconnect your wallet, sign out, or stop using the service at any time. Some records may be retained where needed for security, replay integrity, legal compliance, or legitimate dispute resolution.
9. Children
Battle Cities is not directed to children who are not legally permitted to use online gaming, wallet, or transaction features in their location. If you believe a child has provided personal information without valid permission, contact us so we can review the matter.
10. International processing
Battle Cities and its providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
11. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the game and its data practices evolve. The effective date above will be changed when updates are published. For privacy questions or rights requests, contact the team through the official Battle Cities project.
